Senior Procurement Officer

Our client is a leading business improvement consultancy currently working with a number of EPC(M)’s and resource companies across Western Australia. They are currently working across a number of engineering projects and as such require a Senior Procurement Officer to join the team.
Core duties:
  • Identify potential Suppliers and Contractors (“Vendors”), issuance of pre-qualification documentation.
  • Prepare and issue enquiry documents for budget quotations and fixed and firm tenders, including formatting of commercial documentation.
  • Management of tender packages, including expediting tender responses, issuance of clarifications and addendums, receipt and opening of tenders and internal distribution of tender submissions.
  • Commercial evaluation, adjudication and reporting. Supporting technical disciplines to complete package evaluation.  Management of post tender correspondence with Vendors.
  • Supervision of Procurement team members including allocation of work and tender packages. Mentoring and coaching as required.
  • Attendance at Client meetings and preparation of Client and Project reports
  • Preparation and issuance of award documentation.
  • Expediting and coordination of inspection services as required.
  • Ensure that Vendors are managed in a fair and reasonable manner.
Skills / requirements:
  • Advanced MS Suite (especially Word and Excel) skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good communication (written and verbal), meeting and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering processes and tender documents.
  • Experience in a technical industry beneficial.
  • Relevant industry experience (+ 5 years) in Mining and/or Oil & Gas.
  • Team leadership responsibilities.
 Working conditions:
  • Project specific role, flexible hours.
  • Working from Clients’ offices (Perth Metro area) and home.
  • Ongoing contract work as required
